Our development team has completed initial testing and our product team is now working through QA on this item. We expect unsubscribe records from the global unsubscribe link to be generated after inclusion and deployment in our upcoming January release. In the interim, anyone using the global unsubscribe will still have their bulk email preference set to 'do not allow'.

We are receiving reports of unsubscribe records not being created for customers that use the global unsubscribe link. Currently, the bulk email preference is being set to 'do not allow' but the record is not visible under Unsubscribes in Marketing or as a related unsubscribe for the contact. Our operations team is investigating as a critical issue. We will report back here as soon as we have additional details.
