New customers will receive a welcome email with a link to the Click registration page. The registration page is where you will go to enter your Microsoft environment's information to request your copy of the ClickDimensions solution. The instructions below are for Dynamics 365 and Microsoft CRM 2015/2016 (both on-premise and Online).
Table of Contents
Registering
Once you click the link to the Click registration page, provide the following information in the registration form to obtain a copy of the Marketing Automation solution:
1. Product Type
Select "Marketing Automation" and click Next.
2. Data Center Location & Deployment Type
Select the Data Center that most closely aligns with your organization's location and your Microsoft environment's deployment type (Online or On-Premise).
If your deployment type is On-Premise, you will be asked to provide your Microsoft CRM version.
Deployment Type and CRM Version can be found by navigating to Settings > About in Dynamics and looking at the version information in the header banner.
Click Next.
3. System and Account Information
Specify your Contact Email and Microsoft environment URL (Dynamics, CRM).
For Contact Email, enter the email address that you would like the solution and installer sent to, as well as any updated solutions when requested. In other words, this should be the email of the Installation Point of Contact.
The Microsoft Power Platform URL is where your environment is reachable from the internet, for example: https://org.crm.dynamics.com.
For Online environments, you can find this by going to your environment, looking at the URL bar and selecting the highlighted component of the URL.
For on-premise CRM environments, use the full URL prior to main.aspx.
Authentication Method
Specify your preferred Authentication Method: Application User with Client Secret or Single Sign On.
Provide the required information for your selected authentication method:
Application User with Client Secret: Allows the use of a service account that does not need a Dynamics user license and may help mitigate Microsoft API limits. For more details, please see our Application User article here.
SSO: A session and user authentication service that permits a user to use one set of login credentials to access multiple applications. For more information and details on enabling this, please see our SSO article here.
Next Steps
Click Register, and a copy of the solution will be sent to the specified contact email address. Now you're ready for installing and deploying Marketing Automation.
Troubleshooting Registration Errors
If you have a problem registering, please try the following Test Registration Form which will provide a detailed error. The Test Your environment's External Access article provides links to each data center and Dynamics version's test registration form.
If you require assistance with registering, please send a screenshot of what you have filled in on the test registration form and the error to our support team.
FAQs
How do I install Marketing Automation in multiple environments?
If you need a full, working version of Marketing Automation in more than your Production environment, please contact your CSM to purchase the additional solutions. Your CSM will need to initiate the solution before you can register for it.
Can I reuse my Marketing Automation solution in other environments?
You can use your Production environment's solution in a Dev environment only if you're using it for visibility and not to send emails or perform other Click actions. (All the Click plugins and workflows would need to be disabled.) If you need to have a full, working dev instance, then please contact your CSM to purchase a solution file for your dev environment.
