NOTE: This feature supports pulling content from web pages that use the Open Graph tagging protocol to identify content elements. (Please note that ClickDimensions does not provide assistance for implementing Open Graph on your website.) Read more about Open Graph.
Goals
- Learn how to add elements from a web page into a block in a Drag and Drop Editor template.
Select the URL
Select and copy the URL of the web page you wish to incorporate content from within your Email Template.
Add the URL into the Drag and Drop Editor
Within the Drag and Drop editor, select the block you wish to show the content of your web page on. The right side menu will update with edit options for that particular block.
Click on the Get Content from Web Page button within the right side menu. This will open a window with a field instructing you to Enter the URL of the page from which you want to retrieve the content.
Paste the URL you just copied from the web page into the URL field and click Get Content.
The text and the image (if you are implementing this in a text and image content block) will be automatically pulled in from the web page and placed within the block.
NOTE: If you are implementing this on a text-only block, only text will be automatically pulled in from the web page, and not images.
When clicking the Read More link, the reader will be taken to a new browser window to see the complete web page.
Continue designing the rest of your Email Template within the Drag and Drop editor. When you are finished, click the Save button within the upper left corner of the designer window.

How it Works
This feature pulls from the header tags: og:description, og:image, and og:title within the HTML of the web page that you're incorporating content from within your Email Template.
If you view the source of the web page you're pulling content in from, right-click on the page and select View Page Source from the right-click menu, and look for these tags. You can find them more easily by typing CTRL F and entering in the keywords of the tags to search.
PLEASE NOTE: The 'Get Content from Web' feature can only pull images/non-text media when the page you are pulling from allows our tool to download resources from the CDNs in which they are stored. In other words, if a web page has Open Graph protocol integrated into its header but does not allow our tool to access the media resources, the 'Get Content from Web' tool will only be able to pull text and will not pull in images or other media.
