If you would like to link your recipients to your organization's social networking sites for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, blog, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube, you can add the social links block.
It is currently not possible to create new Email Sends/Templates using this editor, and as part of our continuing plans to deprecate the Drag and Drop editor, cloning Email Sends/Templates using the Drag and Drop Editor while on version 12.1+ will automatically update their editor type to the New Drag and Drop editor.
From version 12.2, this will be released to and applied automatically to all versions as we move to fully deprecate the old editors.
NOTE: This is different than the social sharing block option within the Drag and Drop Editor, which allows your recipients to share the content of the email template on their personal social media site. To learn more about the social sharing block, click here.
Goals
- Learn how to use a Social Links Block in the Drag and Drop Editor to allow recipients to access your organization's social media profiles.
Using the Social Links Block
Once you have added the block, click on it. Here you can input the URLs of your social media sites. When the recipient clicks on these links, they will be directed to the URLs. Once you have input these URLs, ClickDimensions will remember them, so in the next email template you design within the Drag and Drop editor, the URLs will already be populated if you add the social links block.
If you don't want to include certain social media buttons, click the X on the right side of the particular block. If you change your mind and want to add it back, click the plus sign next to the particular block. You can change the order of the icons by hovering over the icon you want to move, then click the crosshairs icon that appears and drag to re-arrange the order.
Click on Style at the top to change more settings within this block.
