Great release! I have one question, has the Inbox Preview view been updated within the Custom HTML editor? I just ran a Inbox Preview expecting to see the newer grid layout as per the screenshot and its exactly same as it was before.

As we don't use any of the built in editor tools because we code our email campaigns outside of CRM, is this view not available when the editor type is Custom HTML?

In relation to my above post, it appears its because I was accessing the Inbox Preview tool via CRM for Outlook, the new view appears when accessing via Internet Explorer.

Is this the correct behaviour for when accessing the Inbox Preview tool within ClickDimensions via the Outlook plugin?

    James,

It is likely that Outlook is just caching the older Inbox Preview. You should see the new Inbox Preview regardless of how you access CRM. I would suggest giving it a few hours or closing Outlook and re-opening it.

We are experiencing some very odd issues with the email editor since the update. These include DIVs being created when a user presses enter while entering text and also content being shifted around oddly when using the layout manager to insert pre-made code snippets. This wasn’t a problem in the previous version and at the moment our users cannot build emails very easily using our templates. Any advice?

    Hi Nick,

I'm sorry for the troubles! We are aware of this issue and we are working to get it solved as quickly as possible. You can use the Drag and Drop editor or the Custom HTML editor to avoid the problem if it is affecting the work on your template. If you are using a template you have already created, you could clone it and make it a Custom HTML editor.

Sorry for the inconvenience and we'll get it back up and running correctly as soon as possible!

Hi team, one of my users can no longer see the right-hand side of his Web Content Design window.  He can't see the Next button.  We can tab over to the button, but it's not affecting me.

Hi - That probably has something to do with browser settings. If he is using Internet Explorer, try using compatibility mode or if he is in compatibility mode try not using it (it depends on which version of IE). If that doesn't help, have him create a support ticket with what browser he is using and what version and we'll have a look. http://support.clickdimensions.com. Thank you!

Thanks Allison, we played around with the Compat settings and saw no impact on this specific issue, which coincidentally for Drew, started following this release.  No other reports like this?

His IE version is 9.0.8112.16421.  Let me know if you feel other information will be helpful.  Cheers from Australia,

    Jonno

Hi Jonno - Sorry that didn't fix it for him! Have him clear his cache on his browser. That fixed it for someone who had something similar happen yesterday. Restart the browser after that. If that doesn't work, after opening the designer press CTRL+F5 which clears the cache for that particular page.

I have a really dumb question.  What does the Cloud and Solution mean to the far right side of the Release Notes?

    Hi Amy,

That refers to whether you need to update the ClickDimensions solution to see the new feature or whether it's available automatically (we update some features of the solution in the Cloud).

In testing emails created with the updated drag and drop editor - they pass responsive design tests on all devices except Andriod Phones (using both Litmus.com testing and live testing to different phones we have) - the Andriod versions still require horizontal scrolling to see the full message.

Is there a fix planned for this or has been seen by others?

    Hi Melissa,

It seems unfortunately that the Gmail app does not currently support responsive emails, however other built in mail applications (like the Samsung mail app on Galaxy phones) do. We've been able to reproduce this behavior internally. Is this consistent with the type of behavior you're seeing? It's hard to see from the screenshot via Litmus exactly which mail application they're using to render their test.

Please let me know what you find. If you have other questions, we may want to create a support ticket for this at support.clickdimensions.com

Is there any plan to make the web forms responsive like the Drag & Drop email editor now is? For example, we want to publish a responsive enquiry form on our website that will render correctly on a phone, tablet or PC.

    Hi Jon,

This is something we are trying to move towards but do not have a date for at this point. You can vote on that feature here as well: http://support.clickdimensions.com/entries/22215815-Responsive-Forms. Thank you for your input!
