Chrome Browser Compatibility

The latest version of the Chrome browser causes some buttons and other features to not work in Microsoft CRM. It also breaks some buttons and features in the ClickDimensions UI.

Google has released version 37 of their Chrome browser, which has deprecated support for window.showModalDialog

ClickDimensions is aware of the changes in Chrome v37 and is planning to make changes to our application in our October release. Until then, the workaround is to use a different browser (supported versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox). Microsoft has not yet announced when they will support Chrome 37.

Is this issue with all versions of Microsoft CRM?

Yes, as far as we can tell CRM 2011 and CRM 2013 are both affected by changes in the latest version of Chrome.

    Hi Joan,

Yes, we've seen that article as well. It seems to have mixed results for ClickDimensions buttons/features that are impacted by the changes to Chrome, so your mileage may vary depending on the feature.

    Hi BJ,

We fixed Chrome compatibility at the end of 2014 for our editors. If you are still experiencing any issues when using Chrome for our editors, please let us know. With regards to CRM itself, Microsoft has some guidance which we shared here: http://support.clickdimensions.com/entries/62919404-CRM-and-Modal-Dialogs-in-Chrome-Browsers
