I often start an email send with a an email template but then do all the final editing in the email send. In fact I have blank email templates in order to begin the email sends. Functionally is this procedure acceptable? What do I gain by doing all edits in the email template, finalizing it and then loading the final template into an email send? I am trying to make sure all tracking and functionality is available in the final email send.
Any disadvantages to doing the email send and email template by starting the content development process in the email template but finishing all changes to content in the email send? I do end up with email templates that are not finished.
