Our Converter Tool which helps you to transform old forms to new forms seamlessly. It creates a new Form record with contents of the old form that was created using the (old) Form Builder, that can be edited using the New Form Designer.
Use case: I want to run a converter tool on old forms so that I do not have to create forms from scratch in the new Form Designer.
NOTE: The old form record and its associated record such as mapping, embed links, widget/iFrame source codes, form submission date, UTM etc., will not be moved. All of these records will still remain associated with the old form record. Only a copy of the form contents will be created.
NOTE: This tool gives you a head start instead of creating the same old form record from the scratch. Once converted, you need to map the form fields to Lead/Contact records, tweak the design and other settings to your requirement and publish it.
Please follow the steps below to Run the Converter Tool.
Step 1: Navigate to the old form record
Navigate to any old form record of your interest.
Step 2: Locate the Convert button
The Convert button can be found on the Dynamics ribbon.
Step 3: Run the Converter
Click the Convert button. A pop-up window will appear with a new form record created.
The newly created form record will have a [CONVERTED] prefix added to form 'Name'. This can be changed now or later. The the 'Form Editor Type' is set to Form Designer (New).
Step 4: Click Save
Once you have made the necessary changes to the form record, click Save.
Step 5: Open the converted record in new Form Designer
In order to open the converted record in the new form designer, simply navigate to the converted record and click Design
The designer opens with same form fields that were used in the old form.
Step 6: Continue to edit the new form
Now you can map the form fields to the corresponding Lead/Contact records, tweak the design, and configure the settings to your requirement. Remember to Save the your changes in the designer.
