Viewing a Chart
Dashboards contain charts, each in its own cell. When you hover over the elements in a chart e.g., segments of a pie chart, bars in a bar chart or bubbles on a map you will see additional information. The type of information that you see will vary depending on the data that has been used to create the chart and the type of chart you are viewing.
If a filter has been applied to a chart, a filter icon will be displayed in the top-left corner.
Dashboards contain data up to and including the previous day. Data for today cannot be shown, only data up to 24 hours ago.
Viewing Tables
Dashboards contain tables. They each get their own cell, just like charts do, and you view them in pretty much the same way. They do, however, have a couple of options that are different to a standard Bar or Pie chart.
When you see a table on a dashboard, it may already be sorted in a particular way, but you can apply a temporary sort if you need to view the data differently.
For example, let's look at a portion of the Email Dashboard's Email Comparison Table.
This is how the data displays by default, but what if you wanted to view the figures by Deliveries? To do this, simply click the "Deliveries" column heading - the first click will sort the column into ascending order and if you click the same column again, it will sort in descending order. You’ll notice a small arrow to the right of the column name that indicates the sort order. In the following example the Deliveries column has been sorted into descending order.
You can only sort on one column at a time, so if you sort on another column your first sort will be undone.
If you need to make a column wider (or smaller) you can click and drag the space between each of the column headings. When you position your mouse over the invisible dividing line, you’ll see a double headed arrow - just click and drag this to make the column wider or smaller. You can resize multiple columns at the same time. This will only be a temporary resize; when you close the Dashboard, the column will revert to its original size.
