Filtering Charts
Charts may contain a filter. If you see an icon like this at the top-left of a chart cell when looking at the Dashboard it means that the data in the chart is filtered. This filter might be built into the chart itself or it may have been added as a result of a Category Filter being selected. A chart may contain multiple filters.
You can view how the chart has been filtered by clicking the filter icon at the top-left of the chart.
Filtering Using a Legend
If a chart includes a Legend, like the example shown below, you can click on one or more of the Legend items to filter the data in the chart.
In the following example, the ‘Submission Rate %’ legend item has been selected - thus the data in the chart now only shows Submission Rate % data (Views and Submissions are greyed out).
If desired, you can select multiple legend items, which causes the chart to show data for only what you have selected. In the following example, both 'Views' and 'Submission Rate %' are selected.
Viewing all data
To show all data in a chart again you can click the remaining Legend items one by one until all have been selected or click the ‘Reset to the default view of the category’ icon at the top-right of the Dashboard.
Filtering Using Category Filters
Category Filters are used to filter every chart in a dashboard at the same time. You may also hear them referred to as Category Objects.
Category Filters are available in the Emails, Forms, Surveys, and Landing Pages dashboards. The Marketing Summary dashboard does not contain any Category Filters.
For example, the Forms dashboard allows you to apply Category Filters for specific date ranges and Forms:
When you have selected one or more Category Filters, click 'Apply' to apply them to the entire dashboard. To remove Category Filters, you must delete all values from the Category Filter fields and click 'Apply'. Clicking 'Cancel' will undo any Category Filter changes that have not been applied.
