Solution
This error is because Port 19081 needs to be whitelisted on a PC level. This applies to both On-Premise and Online Dynamics environments.
This can be done by your IT Team, and whitelisting this port on a PC level should be sufficient for most users. See the instructions below if you or your IT team need step-by-step instructions:
Whitelist Port 19081 on a PC Level:
- Open the Windows key on the bottom left hand side of your PC:
- Search for "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security"
- Under Outbound Rules, create new rules:
- Under Rule Type, select "Port" - Rule that controls connections for a TCP or UDP Port:
- Under "Protocol and Ports" section, ensure "TCP" is selected under "Does this rule apply to TCP or UDP" and type "Port 19081" for the rule under "Does this rule apply to remote ports or specific remote ports"
- Click Next
- In the "Action" tab, select "Allow the connection"
- Click next and next again to get to the "Name" section.
- Name the rule "Allow traffic on Port 19081" and select finish.
