The Event Invitation template is designed with a process you can use for encouraging your customers to register and then keeping them up-to-date once they have.
Selecting the Template
You can follow our instructions for implementing templates and then once you reach the templates screen, select the Event Invitation template.
The template includes several nodes to get you started.
- Added to List trigger
- Set to Run on entire list by default
- Can hold any combination of actions and timers needed
- Set to Series will end when a trigger is achieved
- Registered for Event trigger
- Positive path contains a Send Email action and Notify Team action
- Negative path contains a Send Email action
This automation begins when a contact/lead is added to a Marketing List (1). You can let this trigger run only on new members added to the list or it can run on all members currently on the list plus newly-added members (1.A).
Then you can add any actions or timers that need to occur for the participant in the series (2). This series is set to end when a trigger is achieved, meaning that if a participant registers for the event (3), then even if they haven't completed all the items in the series, they would automatically move out of the series and continue on the event trigger's positive path (3.A). Any participants who don't register for the event would go down the negative path (3.B) which can be a follow-up email or a 1-minute Wait Timer to allow them to complete the automation.
