Double Opt In - Template

Purpose

The Double Opt In template is designed to add a level of confirmation to your subscription process. It helps you build a process that confirms your contacts/leads have signed up with a valid email address.

Selecting the Template

You can follow our instructions for implementing templates and then once you reach the templates screen, select the Double Opt In template.

Nodes

The template includes several nodes to get you started.

1. Submitted Form trigger
2. Send Email action
3. Email Interaction trigger
   1. Positive path contains an Add to List action
   2. Negative path contains a Send Email action

This process allows for a participant to enter the automation when they have submitted a form (1). An email would then be sent to them so they could click to confirm their email address (2). Then, once they click (3.A), they would be directed down the Positive path where they could be added to a Marketing List or have some other action occur.

The Negative path would happen once the Email Interaction trigger's (3.B) timer has expired; the participant would move down it and receive an email or whichever action you choose. If you don't need to further interact with negative path participants, you can add a Wait timer of 1 minute, and the participant will quietly finish the Campaign Automation.
