Once a form submission is recorded, Posted Forms can take anywhere from seconds to several minutes to sync back to your CRM depending on a number of factors, such as volume and available system resources in your CRM.
To see these, go to ClickDimensions > Posted Forms.
This will show a list of every ClickDimensions Form that has been submitted into your CRM:
Double click on an item in the list to open it to see the Posted Form record, which contains more information about the form submission than is visible in the Posted Form view.
The grid here shows the fields they've filled out. You can also see the Campaign, Domain, and lookup to the Form record within CRM that the particular Posted Form record is associated with.
The Email Send lookup field will populate with the Email Send record if the form's link was included directly in an email sent through ClickDimensions.
The Visit lookup field should always have a value as long as you have a domain record set up within CRM to track your website visit activity.
NOTE: The addition of the Email Send and Visit lookup fields were respectively added in version 8.2.0. These fields do not retroactively update from data brought in before your solution is updated to 8.2.0 or newer.
Clicking the Report button at the top of the Posted Form record will export an Excel file containing a list of all of the Posted Forms for the Form associated with the Posted Form from which the Report button was clicked. The report includes columns for when each submission occurred, who submitted the form, and columns for the responses to each field on the Form.
The Form Report button is also located at the top of the Form's Web Content record.
You can also see the standalone Posted Field records as they related to this Posted Form record by choosing Posted Fields from the associated menu at the top ribbon.
This view will show the different Form Fields that were included in the Form and the values the prospect put in those fields upon the submission of the Form.
NOTE: For Posted Field records of Form Fields with predefined options, such as checkboxes and lists, the Posted Label field will only populate if the Posted Field came from the submission of a ClickDimensions Form, not a Form Capture.
If a File Upload component is included on a form and a file is uploaded into it, a Posted Field record will be created and the submitted file will be saved in the Posted Field's Notes section.
NOTE: The dedicated ClickDimensions user needs to have the appropriate permissions to create a note in CRM. This is required in order to allow ClickDimensions to create a note in the Posted Field record with the file that was uploaded.
Also: If you use the Firefox web browser, to view an uploaded file you must click both the large and small "NOTES" text buttons on the Posted Field record. Notice both the large and small "NOTES" text links above the uploaded file; you must click both of them to view the file in Firefox.
Posted Fields - Global View
The Posted Fields can also be seen on a global level. Back in the main CRM screen go to ClickDimensions > Posted Fields.
This is a list of every Posted Field that has come into your system.
Posted Forms & Fields - Individual Lead/Contact
Both the Posted Forms and Posted Fields can also be viewed on the Contact/Lead records. Open one of those records and click on the down arrow next to their name at the top and then scroll to Posted Forms or Posted Fields.
Clicking on one of these records will take you to the same Posted Form Record shown above [showing you the Posted Fields associated with that Posted Form].
Posted Forms - CRM Campaign
If you have attached a campaign to the Form, you will also see the Posted Forms and Posted Fields on the Campaign record. Within the Campaign record, click the related menu next to the campaign name and you'll see Posted Forms and Fields there.
To see these, go to Marketing > Analytics > Posted Forms.
This is a list of every form that has been filled out. Click on a record to see more details.
From here, to see the fields the person filled out, click on Posted Fields on the left.
This view will show the different fields that were filled out and what the user put in those fields. The Posted Fields can also be seen on a global level. Back in the main CRM screen go to Marketing > Analytics > Posted Fields.
This is a list of every Posted Field that has come into your system. The Posted Forms can also be viewed on the Contact/Lead/Account records. Open one of those records and click on Posted Forms on the left.
Clicking on one of these records will take you to the same Posted Form Record shown above [showing you the Posted Fields associated with that Posted Form]. If you have attached a campaign to the Form, you will also see the Posted Forms and Posted Fields on the left side of the Campaign record.
NOTE: In version 8.10.0, the entity relationship between Posted Forms and Posted Fields has been updated so that deleting a Posted Form will now delete associated Posted Fields and likewise reassigning the Posted Form to a new owner will reassign the Posted Fields as well.
Testing Your Forms
ClickDimensions uses two methods to identify a visitor: the visitor’s ID which is set in a cookie that is cached in their browser; and the email address the visitor submits in a form. If you have filled in a form with an email address and it resulted in creating/updating a Contact or Lead in CRM, and then you return to that form to test it again with a different email address, you may be identified as the first Contact/Lead when you return to the form, since there will be a ClickDimensions cookie and a visitor ID associated with that cookie, that was created on your first visit. This could result in your second form being associated with the original Contact or Lead. To avoid this behavior while testing an embedded form, clear your browser’s cache to remove the cookie between submissions.
