The statistics for your Campaign Automation are found within the Campaign Automation Builder, under the Statistics tab.
Goals
- Understand how to interpret the data in the Campaign Automation builder's Statistics tab
- Learn how to see records related to the Campaign Automation
Statistics Tab
Within the Statistics tab view, you can see a numeric representation of how participants have performed in the Campaign Automation.
In the right hand corner of the Statistics tab canvas you will see a Refresh button. This will enable users to update the statistics while they are still in the Statistics tab window.
Entry Triggers
An Entry Trigger (a trigger used to add a participant to the Campaign Automation) will be split into two halves with the top showing a percentage and the bottom showing a number. Here, the percentage represents the percentage of participants that entered the Campaign Automation through this trigger and the number is how many participants that percentage represents.
Internal Triggers
Internal Triggers (any trigger that is not an entry trigger) will be visually identical to entry triggers, but here the percentage represents only the percentage of participants who reached the trigger and subsequently went down the following positive path.
Series
A Series will be subdivided into three subsections:
The total % of participants who reached a series: Any participant who had reached the series should be counted in, regardless of the participant's state (i.e. completed, active, paused, error, error recovery, stopped, or skipped - as in, trigger achieved scenario).
The # of active instances: Only participants that have not completed but can potentially complete the series (i.e. active, paused, or error recovery).
The # of completed instances: Only participants that have completed the series.
From version 10.9, it is now possible to click on the Completed, Running, and Failed participant sections to see which participants are in each status.
Viewing Email Performance
In the Statistics Tab, any standalone Send Email Action or series which includes at least one Send Email Action will have an envelope icon appear above it.
Clicking on this icon will open a pop-up window that will show a list of all of the emails sent out in that series, as well as unique open and unique click rates. For a Send Email Action, the column on the left-hand side of the window will specify the name of the template used in the Action, total number of instances of that email being sent, and the unique open, unique click rates and any bounces for that email. The frame in the center of the window will list each of the individual instances of the selected email that have been sent and show information about them such as to whom they were sent and how that recipient interacted with them.
For a series containing multiple Send Email Actions, the column on the left-hand side of the window will list each email sent in the series and specify the template name, total number of instances of that email being sent, the open, click rate and any bounces for that email. The frame in the center of the window will list each of the individual instances of the selected email that have been sent and show information about them such as to whom they were sent and how that recipient interacted with them. Clicking on different templates in the side bar will update the center frame to reflect the appropriate emails sent using that template.
Viewing the related records within CRM
Within the Campaign Automation CRM record, you can view the related records within the associated menu; this will show you all of the email events, email sends, posted forms, sent emails, web content, and form captures associated with the open Campaign Automation record.
