Cloning a Template
Changing the Editor Type
When you clone a template, before saving the clone, you can change the Editor Type field to use a different value than the original template you cloned from.
Changing the editor type is ideal if your template was created with the New Drag & Drop editor, and you want to access the HTML source code of the template. To do so, change the editor type to the Freestyle or Custom HTML editors allow you to access the template's source code.
It will open a new window and make an exact copy of the template you just created including the HTML version, text version, subject line, owner, and tag field. The Name will also be the same, except it will say [CLONE]: in front, but you may change this. This new version is a copy, and therefore any changes to it will not update the original email template in any way. We recommend paying special attention to the name field and changing it to differ from the original email template's name before saving.
