NOTE: Whether you choose to send your Email Send now or at a later time, You have to click the Send button, or the Email Send will never go out.

Sending Now
After you have finished setting up your Email Send record, if you want to send your Email Send out now, set Send Immediately to Yes, save your Email Send, then click the Send button at the top of the Email Send.
After your email has been sent out, you can find it in the Sent view of Email Sends.
Sending Later
If you want to schedule your Email Send so that it will be sent at a later date and time, set Send Immediately to No. When the field is set to No, the Send On field to the right of it will be activated. Send On allows you to select a specific date and time that your Email Send will be sent out. The time zone used for the Send On time is the time zone set for the CRM User who is viewing the record.
If you have updated to version 10.10+, then you will also receive an option to select which time zone to use when sending the email. The two options are My Time Zone and Recipient's Time Zone.
If My Time Zone is selected, then all emails will send at the scheduled time based on the current CRM User's time zone. Please note that the user will need to select the Time Zone for their region in order to have the time properly adjust for Daylights Savings time. If Recipient's Time Zone is selected, then the emails will send at the scheduled time for that recipient's time zone. The recipient's time zone is determined by the Time Zone field on the Contact/Lead record. If the recipient's "Time Zone" field is empty, then the email will be sent based on the time for the Email Send's owner.
For example, our December 25th email at 8 A.M. email would be sent to this test contact at 8 A.M Eastern time.
After you specify when you want the Email Send to be sent, save your Email Send, then click the Send button.
CAUTION: When using the Recipient's Time Zone option, your Email Send will only appear in the Scheduled view and can only be rescheduled if the email is scheduled to send at least 12 hours from the current time. Once the scheduled time is less than 12 hours away, the email will move to the Sent view and cannot be rescheduled. This is done to cover the full range of potential time zones and prevent issues where some recipients have received the email while others are still waiting.
CAUTION: After making any changes to the Email Send, you MUST save the record prior to clicking Send.
After you click the Send button, your Email Send will be placed into the Scheduled view of Email Sends until the set delivery time arrives. At this point, the Email Send will be sent out and moved to the Sent view. Any recipients added to the Marketing List used on the email send, and/or any recipient added to the email prior to the scheduled date/time will still be included in the Email Send when it finally sends.
NOTE: If you choose No for Send Immediately, you still must save the Email Send record and then click the Send button, or the Email Send will never be sent out.
If for some reason you need to cancel an Email Send in the Scheduled before it is actually sent out, you can do that through the method described here. If you chose to send your email immediately, there is no way to cancel it, but you can reschedule it.
Reschedule a Scheduled Email
Once you schedule and send your email, it will sit in the Scheduled view. At any time before it's scheduled to send, you can go into the Email record and reschedule when it sends. You can choose a new date/time or have it send immediately.
Once you've selected the new date/time or to send immediately, you'll click the Reschedule button and close out that window. Refresh the Email record and you'll that the Send Immediately field has been updated to reflect your changes. If you select to reschedule the email to send immediately, the record will refresh automatically to show you the incoming stats. You will not see this reschedule option available for Split Test emails.
