Video Studio is a built-in video editor inside Click Social. It lets you create short social media videos by trimming and combining clips, editing captions, and exporting directly from your Media Library. Use Video Studio to quickly assemble engaging posts without switching between tools. Edit videos, review and fix auto-generated captions, and publish - all without leaving Click Social. You no longer need external video editing software to prepare your social media videos.
Prerequisites
- You have access to the Media Library Create permission
- You have a video file ready to upload or available in your Media Library.
Step 1: Open Video Studio
- Navigate to the Media Library.
- Click New Project or open the video editor from an existing video.
- Wait for the editor to load.
When opening a project, the system may:
- Load your video
- Generate a transcript automatically
- Prepare preview assets (thumbnail/waveform)
Step 2: Upload or Add a Video
- Open the Assets panel.
- Click Add Video
- Choose one of the following:
- Upload a file from your computer
- Select an existing video from the Media Library
- Add the video to the editor.
The video will appear in your asset list.
Step 3: Add the Video to the Timeline
- Drag the video from the Assets panel onto the timeline
OR - Click the video to add it to the timeline.
Once added:
- The video appears on the timeline track.
- The preview updates to reflect the current frame.
Step 4: Trim and Edit Your Video
Use the timeline to control what portion of the video is used.
Trim the Video
- Select the video clip on the timeline.
- Drag the left or right edge of the clip:
- Drag inward to shorten the clip
- Drag outward to extend it (if more footage is available)
Split the Video
- Move the playhead to the desired position.
- Click Split.
- Adjust or remove segments as needed.
Preview Changes
- Click Play to preview your edits.
- The editor automatically reflects all changes in playback.
Step 5: Review and Edit Captions
Captions are automatically generated for uploaded videos.
- Open the Captions tab.
- Wait for captions to finish generating (loading state may appear).
- Review the transcript text.
- Click into the text to edit and correct inaccuracies.
Optional actions:
- Toggle captions on/off in the video preview.
- Click text to jump to that point in the video.
- Download captions as an SRT file.
Step 6: Adjust Project Settings
Before exporting, confirm your project setup:
- Set the aspect ratio (for example, square or vertical)
- Confirm the video framing in the preview.
Note: Aspect ratio affects how your video appears when published.
Step 7: Export Your Video
- Click Save & Export Video.
Depending on your project:
If this is your first export:
- Enter a name for the video.
- Select export quality (for example, 720p or 1080p).
- Click Export.
If the project has previous exports:
- Review export history.
- Click New Video Export.
- Configure name and quality.
- Click Export.
Step 8: Monitor Export Progress
After exporting:
- A processing screen shows progress.
- The video is prepared in the background.
- Do not close the window until export begins.
Once complete, the video will be:
- Saved to the Media Library.
- Available for download (MP4 format).
- Ready to attach to a Social Post.
