Text overlays let you highlight key information, add context, or display branded messages directly on your video clips in Video Studio.
Step 1: Add a Text Element
- Open the Text tab.
- Select a text block.
- Add it to the canvas or timeline.
A text box appears in the preview.
Step 2: Edit Text Content
- Click the text box in the preview.
- Replace the placeholder text.
- Confirm your changes.
Step 3: Position Text
- Click and drag the text box on the canvas.
- Place it in the desired position.
Step 4: Adjust Text Timing
- Locate the text layer on the timeline.
- Drag the edges to control when the text appears and disappears.
Use this to align text with specific moments in the video.
Step 5: Format Text
When text is selected, adjust:
- Font
- Size
- Style (bold, italic, underline)

Step 6: Preview the Video
- Click Play.
- Confirm the text timing and placement.
Tips
- Keep text short and easy to read.
- Avoid placing text over busy areas of the video.
- Align text timing with key moments.
Note
- Text is treated as a separate layer on the timeline.
