Apart from sharing original content, curating interesting articles from around the web is an excellent way to provide your audience with valuable content. With our Content Discovery engine, you can easily share articles - tailored specifically to your preference.
Key Details
- The Content Discovery tool is an engine that scans for new articles across various websites across the internet.
- All search results are ordered by relevancy.
- All searches include results from the last 7 days.
- The Content Discovery tool is cached and refreshed every day.
Setting Up Interests
The Content Discovery engine lets you pre-define Interests you want to follow and then share the articles you find from one place. Interests are set up based on keywords, very much like a search engine lookup.
To setup a new Interest navigate to Publishing > Content and click on New Topic.
This will open the New Topic box:
Enter a phrase or keyword you'd like to follow inside the text box. Once the Interest is set up, you will see the results in the right-hand side of the screen. Please note that it may take a few seconds for our engine to get relevant results if you're setting up an Interest for the first time.
Sharing Articles
Sharing articles from the Content Discovery tab is really simple - all you have to do is click on the article title, text, or image and that will pop up the sharing console with the article's title and link pre-populated in the message box.
Once an article has been shared at least once it will show up in the lighter shade of grey and in non-bold font. Articles can also be discarded by clicking on the Hide button below each item. To view an article, click on the domain link below each item.
Refining Your Search
To refine your search, click the Cog icon at the top right-hand side of the screen when a certain Interest is selected.
In the window that opens, you have options to hone your search by adding extra rules to base the search on:
- Must Contain Keywords - a list of comma delimited keywords that your article MUST contain.
- Should Contain Keywords - a list of comma delimited keywords that your article should contain. When setting up a new interest, this is the default option.
- Should NOT Contain Keywords - a list of comma delimited keywords that your article should NOT contain.
