Click has features that help you to be PECR Compliant. In this article we'll give an overview of these features and link to the more in depth help articles about each of them.
- Switch your account to the Opt-In Subscription Management method to ensure that every person you send an email or text message to is opted-in to receive what you are sending.
- Create Subscription Lists and Subscription Pages, or update your existing ones to capture opt-ins for SMS.
- Use Segmentation to organize your Leads, Contacts, and Accounts into relevant groups, which can help you send more specifically targeted and relevant content to key groups.
- Update any existing Campaign Automation Send Email or Send SMS actions so that they use a Subscription List or, if applicable, are set to be transactional.
- Update any existing workflows that send out emails or text messages so that they use a Subscription List or, if applicable, are set to be transactional.
- Update any existing quick send email templates with a Subscription List or, if applicable, to be transactional.
- To keep a version of what the end user agreed to when submitting their subscriptions, go to Settings and Support > ClickDimensions Settings > Solution Management > Select the ClickDimensions Solution and click Update > Metadata to publish your latest customizations. Then open the editors of any existing subscription pages, and save the design. This will save the HTML to Dynamics and enable the auditing feature in the Posted Subscription entity going forward. Any changes you make to the page will be captured and shown on Posted Subscriptions after saving.
- Add an "agree to terms" checkbox to your Subscription Pages using the Agree to Terms component in the designer. For forms, add your own "agree to terms" checkbox field.
- If a form has a field that allows people to opt-in to a list, update this field in the form builder to map to a Subscription List and create an actual opt-in preference so you have that documented and the sending process will accept them as opted-in.
- Use our Opt-out web tracking script to allow users to opt-out of being tracked on your site(s), and to provide relevant information about cookies.
